Scheduling Your Event

Careful planning is necessary for all events. You will want to plan as early as possible so that the use of the chapel facilities can be arranged without conflict. The date of the event is set in consultation with the Event Coordinator in order to coordinate the date with the chapel calendar. You will need to submit a completed application (Request for Special Events Reservation, E-2) along with a non-refundable deposit, if applicable, before your date can be presented to the Board of Directors and confirmed. This process may take several days before a definite approval can be made. Then closely monitor your Event Checklist for deposits, forms, and contacts.

Please note that once the date and times of your event are approved, the facility will be made available in ample time prior to the event for decorations, plants, flowers, and other approved decorations to be placed. In the event that more than one use of the facility is scheduled on the same date, set-up times for the florist, etc. will need to be coordinated through the chapel office. Please note that there are times when funerals need to be scheduled unexpectedly. Reserved dates will be given first priority, but we would appreciate flexibility on your part to the extent possible in that situation. Should this occur, the chapel and Board of Directors will assist with coordinating set-up times so there is no conflict in events.

It is extremely important that the exact time desired for additional set-up times or rehearsals (if applicable) be scheduled as well. An additional charge may be required due to air conditioning costs and the need for a Board member to be present.

A multitude of events may be held in the chapel (approximate seating at this time: 350 seats). However, it is required that all events receive approval from the Board of Directors. Therefore, it is important to relate the exact nature, in detail, of the event. Please do not set final dates or send announcements to the newspaper until dates are confirmed with the chapel Event Coordinator.
